Hi I’m Matt, I have had the pleasure of working in the golf industry since 2006 when I started my PGA Apprenticeship through the PGA of New Zealand at the Firmount Golf Park (Big Swing Golf Driving Range).
After graduating the PGA Traineeship program, I moved to Canada to start an OE, before settling in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. Was the associate Professional in Yellowknife for 3years followed by 7years as the Head Professional and General Manager of Yellowknife GC.
In 2020, I accepted the position as a PGA Professional at the Pakuranga Golf Club with the team at GolfHub. Currently the Director of Golf for the Pakuranga Golf Club. I am passionate about playing golf, teaching golf and proving customers with the right equipment for their golfing requirements.

Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is very based around functional body movement and utilising the body rotation to create power and consistency. Increasing the use of our larger muscle groups such as the core and glutes to stabilise the body, maintaining posture and reducing the use of the hands and arms in the golf swing.
